MEET KAREN LEGAN

After spending many years working with flowers in my own gardens, I founded Lemon Dahlia. Truly believing nature is beautiful, in all ways, I wanted to share how it can translate into floral design — flowers grow in front of trees, with grass & herbs peeping through. It is all a blend — what grows & is found outside, in all seasons, is unique & special.

Trained at the prestigious Flower School New York and now capturing that beautiful mix at my floral studio in Wilton, CT. I cut from my own gardens and buy from the best growers in the world—to bring nature to you—in all her glory—from the simplest thank-you bouquet or mantelpiece arrangement to a fully executed wedding design.

I credit Pat Atkins, my aunt, for sharing with me, from a young age, a love of gardens, beauty and all things fine. She helped me, way back, plan my very first cutting garden, encouraging me to look beyond flowers to fill a vase. It was her spirit & vitality for all things growing that gave me my initial love for flora.

I look forward to the pleasure of getting to know you & working with you —

Karen Legan, Founder
Lemon Dahlia

Many thanks to photographers Cappy Hotchkiss, Pamela Einarsen & Daria Bishop for sharing their creativity & to Laurie Tomaszek for her guidance and support.
